The Greatest Silence: Rape in The Congo (Official Trailer)

Lisa F. Jackson, Emmy Award winning producer/director, spent 2006 in the war zones of the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. For more than 10 years, war has been ravaging this part of the world. With over 5.4 million people killed, the Congolese army continues to hold women hostage in their own country through means of kidnapping, rape, mutilation, and torture.

On April 8th, HBO premieres Lisa F. Jackson's documentary, The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo. Courageous, inspiring, and remarkable have all been words used to describe the women and children Lisa introduces to the world through the eye of her camera.

Just as this Sundance Film Festival Award winning documentary left audiences wanting to take action, so will it you. For more information on how you can send a message of peace, a message of hope, or a message of inspiration to the women of the Congo, please click here or visit
